Documents required for joining a new company
15 things a company usually asks for on or before day one. The list in your offer letter or HR email is the one that counts; use this to get ready early. Tick them off as you collect them.

Questions people ask
I have not received my degree certificate yet. What do I submit?
The provisional certificate and your final mark sheets, usually. Tell HR when the degree is expected and send it when it arrives.
My previous company has not given my relieving letter yet.
Tell your new HR before the joining day, and show your resignation acceptance email and last payslip meanwhile. Then ask the old HR in writing for the letter, with a date you need it by.
Should I give my original certificates to the company?
Companies usually look at originals and keep copies. If you are asked to leave originals with them, ask why and for how long, in writing, and check your offer letter for any clause about it.
What is a UAN and where do I find it?
Your Universal Account Number for PF. It is usually printed on payslips from your previous job, and on the EPFO member portal. Giving it to your new employer keeps one PF account instead of opening another.
Missing a letter from your last job?
Ask HR for the relieving letter, experience letter or full and final settlement, in one short email.
