The Chrome extension

BananaJobz Autofill fills in job application forms from your profile. You check every field and press submit yourself.

Install and connect

  • Open Extension in the app sidebar. It shows what this browser still needs.
  • Add the extension to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store.
  • Back on that page, press Connect this browser. The extension is linked to your account; you can disconnect it any time from Settings › Account › Connected extensions, and it stops working at once.

Where it works

It fills forms on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and SmartRecruiters as soon as it is installed. For any other application site, open the extension's popup on that page and press Turn on for this site — Chrome asks your permission for that one site only. It can also save postings from Workday, Indeed and LinkedIn to your tracker.

What it fills

  • Name, contact details, location, links, current role and education.
  • Your resume as a PDF — or a version tailored to that job.
  • A cover letter drafted for the job, marked as drafted, for you to read first.
  • Work authorization, sponsorship, salary, notice period and start date — only from answers you wrote in Settings.

Anything it couldn't fill is listed with the reason and a link that jumps to the field.

What it never does

  • It never submits an application.
  • It never guesses an answer you haven’t written. A question it has no answer for stays blank.
  • It never answers equal-opportunity, veteran or disability questions unless you wrote those answers and switched that section on.
  • It never overwrites something you typed.
  • It hides itself on any page with a password field.

The full detail is in the extension privacy policy.
