Projects

City bus data pipeline | Python, Airflow, PostgreSQL | SoloFeb 2025

An ETL pipeline that pulls a city’s open bus-arrival data every 15 minutes and loads it into PostgreSQL.

Scheduled it in Airflow with retries, kept the raw files on AWS S3, and wrote SQL views for a daily delay report.

Ran for 90 days without a missed load and collected 2.1 million rows.

Order analytics with Spark | Apache Spark, Python, Docker | Team of 2Sep 2024

Processed 5 GB of public e-commerce orders with Apache Spark (PySpark) running in Docker on a laptop.

Did the data modelling: a star schema with one fact table and four dimensions.

Queries that took 40 seconds on the raw CSV files ran in 3.

Internship

Data Engineering Intern, Shopwise, BengaluruMay 2024 – Jul 2024

Moved 6 daily Excel reports into scheduled SQL jobs, saving the analytics team about an hour a day.

Wrote Python data quality checks for missing and duplicate rows before each load; they caught 3 bad loads in two months.

The person, their numbers and the companies are made up. Write yours from what you did.

Why it works

  1. 1

Show it ran, not only that it was built

“90 days without a missed load” is what a data team wants to hear. Pipelines are judged on the days nothing happened.

  2. 2

Name the orchestration and the store

Airflow, Spark, PostgreSQL, S3: data engineering postings name tools, and so should your bullets.

  3. 3

    Data quality is a skill

A check that caught bad rows before they reached a report is worth a bullet of its own.
